13 May 12: Training for U9s & U11s only
It is the Wiltshire county championships on Sunday the 13th
May. Many of our athletes will be competing and our coaches will be attending the event for support. Hence, there will be no athletics at 1030 for the U13 and upwards age groups.
The U9s and U11s will have their training session as usual

22 April 12: MADJA kicked off the season with a win – but only just.
Competing at Andover, MADJA beat the home side by a mere nine points, finishing with 350 points to Andover’s 341 and comfortably ahead of Wimborne (282), Bournemouth (240) and New Forest (211).
MADJA’S boys and men were particularly strong, coming first in all three age categories – U17, U15 (first equal with Wimborne) and U13.
For the U17 men, Will Seward won the javelin with a throw of 43.4m and the discus with a throw of 33.8m, while Brad Hill jumped 1.65m and 5.97m to claim first in the high jump and long jump respectively. In the 100m hurdles, Joe Williamson came second and achieved a grade 4 performance.
For the U15 boys, Jamie Amor ran a time of 12.7s to win the 100m, while Elliot Lassiter came second in the 1500m in a time of 05:16.8.
James Eyles and Harry Milton starred for the U13 boys, claiming first and second spot respectively in both the shot and the discus.
For the girls, MADJA were strongest at U15 level, where they came second. Eve Tarring won the 100m in a time of 14.2s, Jasmine Amiss won the discuss with a throw of 14.74m and Ashlen Sowerby came first in the 75m hurdles in 13.6s.
Other notable performances came from Frankie Temple-Brown, who was second in the U17 javelin, with a throw of 16.4m, and Emily Sheppy, who came second in the U17 80m hurdles, clocking up 14.3s.
In the parallel Quadkids competition for U11 athletes, MADJA came second with 1225 points, narrowly behind Andover (1297) and way ahead of Bournemouth (640), Wimborne (575) and New Forest (546).
The standout performer for MADJA was Harriet Eyles, who finished first in a field of 20. She ran her 75m sprint in 12.3s, recorded a long jump of 2.84m, ran her 600m in 2:18 and threw the vortex 22.18m.
Tess Mayer came fifth, Polly Painter sixth and Poppy Davies eighth. For the boys, Joe McQue was eighth, Thomas Holmes ninth and Tom Barker 10th.
